Description: Annual summer session catalogs and course offerings of the University and predecessor institutions providing information on summer session courses, workshops, and lecture offerings. Maps of the campus and pictures are generally included. Earlier issues may include course outlines of courses offered during the summer. Beginning in 1935, the Summer Session Bulletins contain information on course offerings on the graduate level. From 1935 to 1946, Graduate Program course offerings were available only during the summer and were not offered during the regular sessions. Early issues also contain articles written about manual training, domestic science, and art. Specific titles of those articles include: "Manual Training in the Grades", "The Educational Limitations of Certain Kinds of Hand Work", "The Place of Domestic Economy in Public Schools", "A Course in Machine Shop Work", "Syllabus of Course in Application of Manual Training Theory", "Suggestions and Devices for the Manual Training Teacher", "A School Kiln", "Preparation of Clay for Class Use", "Cost of Materials for Manual Training Classes", "The Manual Training Teacher: The Problems of Organization", "The Manual Training Teacher: The Problems of Supervision", and "Building Construction in the Grammar Grades."
